Bangladesh opts to bowl first in 2nd Test against Pakistan
Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto put Pakistan into bat first after winning the toss in the series deciding second and final Test at Rawalpindi today.
Bangladesh is leading the series 1-0 following their landmark 10-wicket victory in the first Test.
A victory or draw in the Test will give them their first ever Test series victory over Pakistan. The first day of the second Test was washed out due to persistent rain yesterday. Therefore the two teams will get four days to force a result in the match.
The visitors, however, made one forced change to break the winning combination with pacer Taskin Ahmed replacing Shoriful Islam who was deemed unfit.
Pakistan, meanwhile, made two changes in a bid to avoid a first ever series defeat to Bangladesh.
They brought in leg spinner Abrar Ahmed and Mir Hamza in the place of Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
