Tigers dismissed for 565, earn 117-run lead in 1st Test
Bangladesh were bowled out for 565 in its first innings of the two-match series opening Test against Pakistan, taking a 117-run lead at Rawalpindi today.
The total is Bangladesh's third highest in a Test innings and highest against Pakistan, eclipsing the previous best of 555-6 in 2015 in Khulna.
Pakistan declared its first innings on 448-6, thanks to Mohammad Rizwan's career-best 171 and Saud Shakeel's 141.
Seasoned campaigner Mushfiqur Rahim led the run-fest for Bangladesh in unresponsive pitch with a monumental 191. While Mushfiqur missed out his fourth double century, Opener Shadman Islam was seven runs short of his second Test century.
Shadman made 93. Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 77, Liton Das added 56 while Mominul Haque chipped-in-with 50.
Naseem Shah claimed 3-93. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Ali picked up two wickets apiece.
