Tarique Rahman sends Eid greetings, gifts to 229 injured at hospitals
Eid greetings and gifts, on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, have been sent to 229 injured individuals undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka.
Iftar package and greeting letters have been sent to 109 injured individuals receiving treatment at National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) and 120 individuals at National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIOH), reports BSS.
Following the directives of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) hosted a unique Iftar in honor of those still undergoing treatment at hospitals.
The event took place at two separate locations—National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation and National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital (NIOH).
In the letter, Tarique Rahman expressed his deep respect and gratitude for the injured.
“Honored struggling hero, Assalamu Alaikum. I extend my deepest emotions of respect and gratitude to you. During this holy month of Ramadan, when we seek Allah’s mercy through fasting and prayers, your immense courage and sacrifice deeply move our hearts,” the letter read.
“Your physical and mental pain saddens us, but your contribution also serves as an inspiration. Your sacrifice and bravery for the nation fill us with pride. We can never fully repay the suffering you’ve endured, but it is our duty to stand by your side,” he wrote.
Tarique Rahman added, “This modest Iftar is a symbol of our love, respect, and commitment – we are with you, have been, and will continue to be. We understand the depth of your pain, but we hope that the love and prayers of the nation will provide you with strength.”
“May Allah grant you a swift recovery? Your contribution will be forever remembered in the nation's history. Allah Hafiz,” he concluded.
ZRF Executive Director Prof Dr Farhad Halim Donar, Pangu Hospital Director Prof Dr Abul Kenan, ZRF Iftar celebration Committee Convener Anowarunnabi Majumdar Babla, central leaders Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Agricultural experts Dr. Abdul Karim and Shafiul Alam Didar, Engineer Mahbub Alam, Professor Dr. Abdul Karim, Dr. AKM Masud Akhtar Jitu, Mamun Bin Abdul Mannan and Engineer Mehedi Hasan Sohel were present during the program at Pangu hospital.
On the other hand, at the National Institute of Ophthalmology, Iftar items were distributed to 120 injured individuals with the presence of Dhaka University Prof Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan, Dr. Syeda Tajneen Waris Simki, ZRF Dr. AHS Haider Parvez, Dr. Parvez Reza Kakon, Iftar celebration Committee Secretary Dr. Mustafa Aziz Suman, Amirul Islam Kagji, Dr. Syed Mehboob Ul Kadir and Shafikul Islam.
They also inquired about the treatment of the injured and exchanged pleasantries with them.
