BNP-Jamaat is in field instead of students: Quader
Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP-Jamaat is now in the field with arson terrorism instead of students centering the anti-quota movement.
“BNP-Jamaat is now in the field in the name of quota movement with arson terrorists instead of students after the closure of educational institutions,” he said while addressing a press briefing at AL president’s political office in city’s Dhanmondi.
Quader said the terrorist group has already created anarchy across the country using the educational institutions. The law enforcers have taken highest security measures for ensuring safety of common students, he added.
He said police have shown their patience from the very beginning of the quota movement. For this, the students have been able to submit their memorandum to the President, he said.
He said BNP-Jamaat terrorists are carrying out vandalism across the country. About 300 Chhatra league leaders and activists were injured and female students of the organization were assaulted, he said, adding they (BNP-Jamaat) set fire to residential halls.
He said BNP’s fugitive leader Tarique Rahman is plotting a conspiracy to topple the government. Awami League believes that BNP-Jamaat terrorists are involved in the terrorist activities across the country and there is no relation of general students with it, he added.
Urging all to create resistance against the terrorists of Chhatra Dal and Shibir, Quader said they are spreading propaganda through social platforms. Chhatra League is facing the situation with patience.
He said they (Chhatra Dal and Shibir) assaulted female students. Even, they have thrown Chhatra League activists from the roof of a building. BNP and Jamaat are trying to materialize their ill motive through killing, said Quader.
He urged the countrymen to remain alert against the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat.
