As part of its ongoing move to overhaul the party, the BNP on Sunday formed convening committees for its Dhaka South, North, Chattogram, and Barisal city units.

The party announced the fresh committees through a statement signed by its Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Rafiqul Alam Mojnu has been made the convener of the Dhaka South City unit while Tanvir Ahmed Robin appointed as the member secretary.

Saiful Alam Nirob has been selected as the convener of the Dhaka North City unit with Aminul Haque as the member secretary.

Ershadullah has been appointed as the convener of the Chattogram City unit with Nazimuddin Rahman as its member secretary.

In the Barisal City unit, Moniruzzaman Khan Faruk has been made the convener while Ziauddin Sikder Zia is the member secretary and Afroza Khanom Nasreen is the joint convener.

Previously, Mojnu and Tanvir served as member secretary and joint convener of the Dhaka South City unit respectively.

Saiful Alam Nirob was previously the president of BNP's youth wing Jubo Dal, and Aminul was a member secretary of the previous committee of Dhaka South city unit.

Ershadullah previously served as vice president of the Chattogram City unit committee while Nazimur Rahman acted as the president of the district unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal.

The newly appointed leaders of the four city units have been given a three-month deadline to form the full committees of their respective units.
