Khaleda exchanges Eid greetings with BNP leaders
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia exchanged Eid greetings virtually with party leaders including that of standing committee, central committee, and affiliated organisations on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Khaleda joining virtually from London at 9 pm on Monday greeted party leaders at various levels of the organisation with Eid Mubarak and engaged in cordial conversations.
The event was held at the Chairperson's office in Gulshan, with a large screen displaying Khaleda connecting from London.
Joining her on the screen were BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Standing Committee member Professor AZM Jahid Hossain, two BNP leaders who attended the meeting told UNB.
Tarique also extended Eid greetings with the party leaders.
Senior leaders of the party including General Secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee members Khondkar Mosharraf Hossain, Zamil Uddin Sarkar, Mirza Abbas, Goyesh Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, and Selima Rahman were,among others, present.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir conveyed Eid Mubarak to the Chairperson during the greetings exchange.
Later, Khaleda Zia participated in a special prayers for her swift recovery.
Following the outbreak of the coronavirus and her conditional release from jail, Khaleda Zia had continued the tradition of exchanging Eid greetings with the party’s standing committee members at her residence, 'Firoza,' in Gulshan.
However, after traveling to London on January 8 for better treatment, she celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr yesterday with her family members at her son’s house in London.
While conveying Eid-ul-Fitr greetings, Khaleda Zia urged the people Bangladesh to remain united in the struggle for voting rights.
