Three BNP men expelled in Pirojpur

A local leader and two activists of BNP have been expelled from the party in connection with the stealing of iron rod kept for constructing a bridge in Najirpur upazila of Pirojpur district.

Pirojpur district unit BNP shared the information in a press release issued on Wednesday night.

The expelled are Sardar Shafayet Hossain Shaheen, member of convening committee of Najirpur Upazila unit BNP and former president of Matibhanga union unit of the party and activists—Hedayet Hossain and Zahidul Islam.

According to the release, the three BNP men have been relieved of all kinds of posts and titles, including membership, on the directive of the higher authorities following a written application about their involvement in activities contrary to party discipline.

Upazila BNP leaders and activists at all levels have been instructed not to have any kind of party relations with the expelled leaders.

Gazi Ohiduzzaman Lavlu, member secretary of district unit BNP said punitive actions were taken against them as per the directives of the higher authorities concerned.
