Fascist force is still hatching conspiracy: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the conspiracy of fascist force is still going on in the country as they are making evil efforts to divide the nation.

“Likewise August 5, we will have to resist all conspiracies with the united strength of people. Everyone must work together to establish peace and equality,” he told a public rally at Shibganj Degree College ground in Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila this afternoon.

Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila BNP organized the rally with its President Md. Abdul Hamid in the chair while General Secretary Mahbub Hossain Tuhin moderated it.

District BNP President Mirza Faisal Amin and leaders of party’s other front organizations also spoke at the meeting.

The BNP secretary general called upon all to remain united so that none can divide the nation, saying, "We have got an opportunity. Let us utilize the opportunity together."

Criticizing the autocratic Awami League government, Mirza Fakhrul said for the past 15 years, the people of the country were deprived of voting rights.

The autocratic government fooled the people by holding three farcical elections, he said.

Mirza Fakhrul said Sheikh Hasina has been hatching conspiracies after fleeing the country. “She is running a false campaign that Hindus are being tortured here. I want to say one thing about this, we are very peace-loving people. We always live together as Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and Muslims,” he said.

BNP secretary general said the fallen Awami League government has laundered Taka 12,000 crore abroad every year. AL regime destroyed the judiciary as well as the economy, he said, adding that they used the police for party interests.

He said former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was kept in jail for six years in a conspiracy and there was a conspiracy to kill her by poisoning her to deteriorate her health condition.

He extended his gratitude to the students and the masses for freeing the nation from autocracy and thanked the party men who fought for democracy for the last 15 years.

Highlighting the party's reform proposals, Mirza Fakhrul said, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia gave 'Vision 2030' in 2016 and acting Chairman Tarique Rahman declared 31-point outline for repairing the state structure in 2022.

“We want this reform. About reform we understand that the people can enjoy their voting rights, the country will stay in peace and prices of goods will be reasonable and there will no violence, theft and robbery. We want such a Bangladesh,” he added.
