“It is likely to move westerly direction further and cross North Tamil Nadu Coast around evening/night of Saturday (30 November, 2024),” it said.
The maximum sustained wind speed within 54 km of the cyclone center is approximately 62 km/h, with gusts and squalls reaching up to 88 km/h.
The sea will remain very rough near the cyclone centre, said the bulletin.
Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to hoist Distant Warning Signal-2 (R).
All fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay and Deep Sea are advised to stay close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice, the bulletin concluded.
