'AL conspiring against country from abroad'

Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Convenor Hasnat Abdullah has alleged that the fallen fascist Awami League (AL) has been plotting conspiracy against the country from abroad.

He has urged all to remain united now, like the time of mass uprising by which the AL was ousted.

He made the remarks while addressing a recall meeting, in memory of the injured and martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement and the July-August mass uprising, at the hall room of Debidwar Upazila Parishad Hall Room on Tuesday.

“If there is any division among us, the Awami fascists will be rehabilitated again. If rehabilitated, it will never be possible to materialise the Bangladesh of our dreams, a fascism-free Bangladesh. What we need for this is that people of all classes and professions and all political forces against fascism must remain united,” said Hasnat, one of the leading coordinators of the recent student movement.

Calling the student solidarity a big strength for the interim government, he urged the students to remain vigilant to resist any conspiracy by the AL against the country.

He said the rehabilitation of the AL must be resisted and success of the students ensured.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nigar Sultana presided over the function while Upazila Primary Education Officer Md Minhaz Uddin delivered the welcome speech.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Raihanul Islam, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Circle) Md. Shahin, Nazmul Hasan Nahid and Mohtadir Zarif Sikto of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Cumilla zone, among others, spoke on the occasion.

At the end of the discussion, a special prayer was offered seeking forgiveness of the martyrs of the mass uprising and the recovery of the injured.

Later, Hasnat Abdullah visited Debidwar Mazeda Ahsan Munshi Municipal Public Library and donated over 700 books.

In the afternoon, he exchanged views with teachers of different educational institutions at the Upazila Parishad hall room.
