Police early today arrested former state minister for industries and ex-parliament member of Dhaka-15 constituency Kamal Ahmed Majumder.

Kafrul police arrested him from a house in Gulshan around 12:30 am, the officer-in-charge of Kafrul Police Station, Golam Mostafa, told BSS.

Several murder cases were filed against him with different police stations, including Kafrul police station, relating to incidents of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement after the fall of Awami League government on August 5 last.
