Tarique conveys sympathy to Lt. Tanjim’s parents through ex-army officers
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Deshnayok Tarique Rahman today conveyed sympathy to family members of army officer Lt. Tanjim Sarwar Nirjon, who was stabbed to death by robbers, during a joint operation in Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar in the wee hours of Tuesday.
A seven-member delegation of retried army officers led by Major General (Retd) Fazle Elahi Akbar reached slain Lt. Tanjim’s residence at Korer Betka village under Karatia union in Tangail sadar upazila at around 11:45am today.
On behalf of Tarique Rahman, the retired army officers conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
They spent some times with slain army officer’s family members including parents and sister.
Later, the delegation paid deep tributes to the memory of Lt. Tanjim by placing wreaths at his grave. They offered ziarat and munajat at the grave and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
