Nearly 5 million people left without power in flood-hit areas
Severe flooding has caused significant disruptions in electricity supply, leaving nearly 5 million people without power across 11 Palli Bidyut Samity areas.
The flood has forced the closure of 17 sub-stations out of 163, impacting electricity distribution.
The affected Palli Bidyut Samity areas include Chandpur-1, Noakhali, Feni, Lakshmipur, Cumilla-2, Cumilla-4, Chattogram-2, Chattogram-3, Cox's Bazar, Moulvibazar, and Brahmanbaria.
According to the Power Division, the shutdown of 60 electricity feeders has resulted in widespread outages, leaving 4,971,321 people in the dark.
