Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman announced that the interim government, led by Dr. Muhammad Yunus, will be sworn in on Thursday.

"Armed forces will provide all possible support to the interim government," he said during a news conference at the army headquarters on Wednesday afternoon.

The swearing-in ceremony is expected to be held around 8 PM on Thursday. General Waqar-uz-Zaman hinted that the interim government might comprise up to 15 members.
