Dictator Hasina left the country
Dictator Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana, have left Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina departed in a military helicopter from Bangabhaban at 2:30 pm, accompanied by Sheikh Rehana. Sources indicate they headed to West Bengal, India.
Meanwhile, news agency AFP reported that Sheikh Hasina and her sister have relocated to a safe place. Sheikh Hasina had intended to record a speech before leaving, but she did not get the chance.
Protesting students have entered Ganobhaban, the official residence of the Prime Minister, following the resignation of Hasina. They are marching through the premises, cheering in response to the news of Hasina's resignation. Various items from Ganobhaban are now seen in the hands of the common people.
