Shamim Osman arrogantly vows unyielding stance of 'dictator' Hasina
Awami League lawmaker from Narayanganj-4, Shamim Osman, issued a defiant call to party activists on Tuesday, stating, "There will be some losses, but don't worry even a bit. Not even their fathers [those protesting] can budge Sheikh Hasina an inch. We just need to be ready."
Addressing a party meeting at Chashara Rifle Club in Narayanganj as the chief guest, Osman highlighted international efforts to destabilize Bangladesh. He questioned, "Why else would Mamata Banerjee say that the doors of Bengal are open and they will provide refuge to anyone who knocks? Why else would the likes of Yunus, who exploit with high interest rates, say from France that elections must be held? All forces have united against the daughter of the Father of the Nation, Sheikh Hasina. The opposition has become formidable."
Osman emphasized the urgency of the situation, adding, "Tonight [Tuesday] is not normal. I repeat, tonight is not normal. Therefore, everyone must be prepared in their areas."
This call to action comes as the Anti Discrimination Students Movement, which led the quota reform protests, announced a March for Justice on Wednesday at educational institutions, court premises, and major roads across the country.
