BNP rally kicks off in Nayapaltan with massive turnout
In a massive rally in Dhaka's Nayapaltan, the main opposition BNP demanded the unconditional release of its party chairperson Khaleda Zia. The event started at 3:30 in the afternoon today with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
A large number of activists gathered in front of the BNP’s central office, filling the Nayapaltan area well before the scheduled time. Crowds began assembling as early as 2 PM.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is attending as the chief guest. The programme is presided over by BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas.
