Khaleda Zia shifted to CCU at Evercare Hospital

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was transferred to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital in Dhaka today. She was admitted to the hospital on Friday night after suddenly falling ill.

According to Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP media wing, Khaleda Zia was moved to the hospital's CCU at 3:30 PM today. 

"She was rushed to the hospital from her residence in Gulshan due to breathing difficulties. We are still awaiting details on the nature of her condition," he said.

The 79-year-old former Prime Minister has been battling various ailments for years, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and issues related to her kidneys, lungs, heart, and eyes.

Khaleda Zia was previously admitted to Evercare Hospital on May 2, where she was treated in the CCU for two days. She was also hospitalized on August 9 of last year, and after over five months of treatment, she returned home on January 11.
