RAB arrests ex-MP Sohrab Uddin
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested former Kishoreganj-2 constituency MP Advocate Sohrab Uddin
Sohrab was arrested from Diabari area in Dhaka's Uttara in connection with charges related to ordering attacks on students and the public during the anti-discrimination student movement, as well as accusations of involvement in financing these violent acts.
ASP Imran Khan of RAB Headquarters (media wing), confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
A total of four cases were filed against Sohrab at the Kishoreganj and Pakundia police stations. In two of these cases, he is listed as the primary accused, while in the other two; he holds the third position on the list of suspects.
Following his arrest, the process of transferring Sohrab to the Detective Branch (DB) office of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is underway, with further investigations expected, added the ASP.
