One of the 23 top listed terrorists, Sheikh Mohamad Aslam alias Sweden Aslam was released on bail from the Kashimpur jail here on Tuesday night after 19 years of his captivity as was accused in 22 criminal cases, nine of those for murder.

 "Sweden Aslam had been in the Kashimpur High Security Central Jail since 2014 and we released him from the jail examining his bail documents at 9pm on Tuesday night," jailer Lutfor Rahman told BSS.

Sweden Aslam, son of Sheikh Jannat Ali of Chhatiar area under Nababganj Police Station, was arrested on January 31 in 2005 as he was wanted in a number of criminal cases. Since then, he had been languishing in various jails.
