A Legend, a martial arts fantasy adventure film and sequel to 2005's ‘The Myth’, will see 70-year-old legendary Chinese kung fu icon Jackie Chan embrace his younger self at the age of 27, reports CGTN.

With the help of AI technology, the sequel to "The Myth" will find Jackie Chan reprising his role as archaeology expert Professor Fang, who stumbles upon an ancient jade artifact with mystical powers, which allows him and his assistant to travel back to a tumultuous period in the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC- 25 AD).

At a recent press event in Beijing, Jackie Chan revealed that he is content with his current appearance and happily embraces the changes that come with aging. "I can't return to my younger years, but with the help of an AI-aided film, I can revisit them, which is interesting too," Chan said. 

One of Jackie Chan's co-stars is actor-singer Zhang Yixing, also known as Lay Zhang, who has long worked side by side with Chan to practice the use of the bow and arrow. "Yixing, who's a dancer too, learns kung fu very fast!

Others might only remember one or two moves at a time, but he can recall seven or eight moves, even up to a dozen. He's a very intelligent young actor," added Chan.

Directed by Hong Kong filmmaker Stanley Tong, a longtime collaborator of Chan's for more than three decades and 10 films, "A Legend" was reportedly made on a budget of 350 million yuan (up to US$50 million) and is scheduled for release in Chinese theaters on July 12.
