DSE benchmark index up 16.41 points in opening hour

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw an upward trend in the first hour on Wednesday.

On the day, the trading record in the DSE shows, shares and units of 7.8 crore were exchanged through 4333 transactions. In this time shares and mutual funds worth Tk143.7 crore were traded.

In the first hour a total of 380 companies participated in trading. Among these, prices of 232 companies increased, 87 companies decreased and 61 companies remained unchanged at the DSE.

The main index DSEX increased by 16.41 points to 5242.46 points, the DSES Shariah index up by 0.19 points to 1176.88 points and the DS30 special blue chip rose by 6.82 points to 1927.98 points during the first 1:0 hour on Wednesday.
