Pran Group bags seven national export trophies 

The Pran Group got seven national export trophies, including three gold for its 'outstanding' contribution in the export segment for the fisca year 2021-22.

Pran Group Chairman Ahsan Khan Chowdhury received the gold trophies on behalf of Habiganj Agro and Allplast Bangladesh from the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a function on Sunday, says a press release.

The country's leading conglomerate got the trophies from the commerce ministry for exporting agro processing, plastic goods, melamine and light engineering products. Now, the Government of Bangladesh awarded the 'National Export Trophy' to PRAN-RFL Group as the highest exporter for the last 21 consecutive years. In Addition, the group set a record by receiving three gold trophies in a fiscal year.

In the agro processing sector, Pran won all the awards in this category. Habiganj Agro, Pran Agro and Pran Foods obtained gold, silver and bronze trophies respectively. Allplast Bangladesh and Banga Plastic International of RFL Group got gold and bronze trophies respectively in the plastic goods sector.

Durable Plastic received gold trophies in melamine sectors while Rangpur Metal Industries got bronze trophies in light engineering sector. AKM Moinul Islam Moin and Saiful Islam Sikder, Executive Director of the group received the award on behalf of Pran Agro and Pran Foods respectively. Therefore, RN Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group received the awards on behalf of Durable Plastic, Banga Plastic and Rangpur Metal Industries.
 
Pran Group Chairman Ahsan Khan Chowdhury said that Bangladesh is aiming for hundreds of billions of dollars in export revenue in future by emphasising export diversification. "So, we have to focus more on potential sectors besides ready-made garments," he said.
 
"Pran Group has been working hard on export diversification and is beginning to see success. This year PRAN-RFL Group has been recognised in four categories, which is a great pleasure for us. We are very hopeful that export trophies will come in more sectors very soon," he said.

PRAN-RFL Group, the country's leading food manufacturer and exporter, started exporting its products to France in 1997. At present, the group is exporting products to 145 countries worldwide including India, Nepal, Malaysia, UAE, Oman, UK, USA and Canada.
